My Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to me. To better protect your privacy I've writen up this notice explaining my online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, I make it available on the homepage of the bookstore and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

My Commitment To Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. While this site does NOT contain SSL encryption, every effort has been made to secure data in our databases. Our data bases are purged periodically of old data, so as to make room for new data. At no time is your personal information left lying around, and when it is purged, it ceases to exist except in backup form on a CDRom, and is saved only for tax reporting purposes.

When checking out, you will be redirected to the secure Paypal website. At no time do I have access to your secure Paypal information, as this entire financial transaction takes place on the Paypal website. Your financial information is secure.

My Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13. Joyful Momma recommends Internet Filtering software such as Safe Eyes (available at InternetSafety.com) and due diligence on the part of the parents to protect young ones online.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information:

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging in and clicking on my account in the above menu. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Joyful Momma website.

The Way I Use Information:

I use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. I do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

I use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You have the option now to include your date of birth to receive special deals, pricing, and notices on your birthday. Submitting your date of birth is not required to place an order, but it is required to take advantage of these deals.

You must register with my website if you place an order from my online catalog as well as updates on my new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be shared with any outside party. Part of this registration is so that I may accurately report earnings for local and state tax purposes, especially for the purposes of state and local sales tax.

I use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, I may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on my website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out my registration form, but I would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, I never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to me online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
