Within a few months, my oldest daughter and I went through it together, to learn and discuss the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, and now my 13 year old son and I are reading it together, leading to many fascinating discussions.
I've always been a firm believer that the Bible is the best commentary on itself, however books like Path to Truth and Freedom are extremely helpful in pulling it all together, and helping us to see the big picture. This books helped to further ground my older children and I in the basics of what we believe about God, salvation, His Word, and more. Path to Truth and Freedom is even more useful for how Dr. Gurganus handles questions such as "Is the Holy Bible truly God's Word?" and "Is there really a God?", as well as defending a literal Creation. This book would also work well for a new Christian or a seeker.
